Retired police officers are currently protesting in Abuja to demand payment of their entitlements.
The development comes amid claims of systemic corruption in the police pension scheme.
The retired officers were seen carrying placards and banners with inscription like “Tinubu, pay police,” as they marched in their numbers on Monday morning through the Police Headquarters, towards the National Assembly complex, Abuja.
Activists like Omoyele Sowore and popular Hausa skit maker Bello Dangallanci joined the protest, demanding that the retired officers be paid their entitlements.
