Sixteen members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Speaker of Rivers Assembly Martin Amaewhule, announced the development during plenary on Friday.
According to him, the lawmakers decision was due the division within the PDP.
