Indian nationals in Iran have been urged to leave the country as soon as possible due to the evolving security situation.
In a fresh advisory on Monday, the Embassy of India in Tehran advised students, businesspeople, pilgrims, and tourists to leave using any available means of transportation, including commercial flights.
The advisory follows earlier guidance issued in January after Iran experienced deadly protests.
Reports estimate that around 10,000 Indian nationals, including many students, are currently in Iran.
In addition, thousands of Muslim pilgrims from India travelled to Iran annually.
