Nigerian, others appointed new IPPDR global peace ambassadors

The Institute of Public Policy, and Diplomacy Research, (IPPDR), leaders in peacebuilding training and peace education mentorship, has announced the appointment of 26 new Global Peace Ambassadors.

Dr. Jumai Ahmadu, Founder Helpline Social Support Initiative in Nigeria, and 25 others were presented with the award at the Platinum Humanitarian Leadership Award Ceremony, held at the United Nations (UN) Delegates Dining Room, New York, USA.

Princess Dr. Antonia Zu Schaumburg-Lippe, a Royal, European Princess, at the ceremony, said “The Global Peace Program is a testament to our shared humanity. Through it, each of us becomes a steward of compassion, dialogue, and unity. Together, we can create a world where peace is an ideal and a lived reality for all.”

The newly appointed ambassadors are expected to be ready to accept leadership roles with a comprehensive focus on conflict prevention and crisis management, global peace advocacy, human rights advocacy, mental health support and awareness and international conflict prevention and nonviolent intervention.

Joining Dr. Ahmadu as newly appointed Global Peace Ambassadors are H.H. Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, Naomi Achu, Queen of Bamenda, Cameroon, Blanca Judith Mujica Acuna, LL.M, Raquel Lorena Coronado Arce, LL.M, Pastor Emmanuel Asse, Prince Jean Louis Bingna of Bangu, Cameroon – Angel Montero Caceres, Nadine Charles, Former New York Detective Dr. Vanessa Vielka de Danzine, Barbara Derathe, Hans Garry Dorleans, Amb. Dr. Muawia Eltoum Elamin Elbukhari Former DPR Sudan Mission to the UN in New York, H.C. Dr. Dior Fall, Dr. Melinda Arnon Gills-Becks, Pastor Alfred Justin Joseph

Other awardees include Arsene Romaric Tatsazeu Kenfack, Kadiatou Ly, Dolores Murat-Etienne, Frederic Ordines, Carlos Manuel Perez Gonzalez, LL.My, Junior Saint Fleur, Elizabeth Wayak Pembe, NYC Detective Malik Stone, H.C. Dr. Maria Thomas Santiago, Indhira Elizabeth Elliot Valdez, and Koffi Wilson Brou.

The ceremonial diplomacy of the awards presentations was done on the international dignitaries, ambassadors, and senior government officials joined dedicated doctors, nurses, civil society leaders, and rising youth innovators, united in the commitment to fostering sustainable peace in alignment with UN Charter and H.R. 1111, the Department of Peacebuilding Act introduced in 2021.

The IPPDR announced that its next leadership and diplomatic protocol training will be held in March of 2025. Attendees will study Eloquent Leadership and Diplomatic Protocol, and “essential in foreign relations to lead with integrity, communicate with intention, and build lasting relationships grounded in mutual respect and shared values,” according to Ambassador Dr. Andrise Bass.

The event was organized under the distinguished leadership of Ambassador Dr. Andrise Bass, Founder and Executive Director of both the Humanitarian Focus Foundation and the Institute of Public Policy and Diplomacy Research.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests of honor, Her Highness Dr. Antonia Zu Schaumburg-Lippe and her son, His Highness Prince Dr. Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, who support leaders in peacebuilding training and peace education.
