President Bola Tinubu has ordered the recall of Salihu Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, following recent management reshuffles at the agency.
This is contained in a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Presidential Spokesperson, on Tuesday in Abuja.
Mr Dembos was appointed DG of the TV network by President Tinubu in Oct. 2023, will now return to complete his three-year tenure.
The President similarly directed the recall of Ayo Adewuyi, the Executive Director of News, to complete his three-year tenure, which ends in 2027.
Mr Adewuyi was appointed by President Tinubu in 2024.
The directive effectively overrides earlier appointments of a new Director-General, Executive Director of News, Executive Director of Marketing, and Managing Director of NTA Enterprises.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Mr Rotimi Pedro was recently announced as NTA DG in a statement by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information at the SGF’s Office.
