The FCT chapter of the Association of Resident Doctors has suspended its indefinite strike after 30 days of industrial action.
The development comes after the national body of the association announced it has suspended the indefinite strike declared over unmet demands.
Announcing the suspension on Monday, the President of ARD-FCTA, Dr. George Ebong, warned that the association would not hesitate to resume the industrial action if the FCTA fails to implement the approved demands within four weeks.
“ARD-FCTA has suspended its strike for four weeks with the hope that the approvals from Mr. Minister will be implemented.”
With the suspension of the strike, Heath services earlier disrupted accross the FCT, is expected to resume on Tuesday.
