With 15 LGAs already announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission ,INEC, and just three local government left to be called in the Ondo State governorship election, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress, APC may be cruising to victory.
Aiyedatiwa, who is the State’s incumbent governor is being trailed by Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Based on the results announced so far, Aiyedatiwa has polled 301,113 votes against Ajayi who garnered 97,051 votes.
By margin, Aiyedatiwa is currently leading with 204,062 votes.
However, INEC, has adjourned the collation exercise till noon, Sunday 17th November2024.
The Presiding Officer, who is also Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Lokoja, Prof Olayemi Akinwunmi, while adjourning the exercise noted that results from the remaining three LGAs’ are delayed due to long distance.
