The will of the people of Enugwu-Agidi, their prayers and collective aspirations, has been clearly expressed and fulfilled. From the sheer margin of votes recorded, it is crystal clear that Chief Pius Nwankwo (PAYE, Ozo Okpete) is the right man for the job.
Community leadership plays a profound role in shaping development and unity. The decisions leaders make, their communication style, and their overall approach set the tone for either progress or stagnation. While effective leaders empower and inspire, incompetent leadership breeds fear, disengagement, and failure. Where the same problems persist year after year, or even worsen, leadership itself becomes the problem.
Enugwu-Agidi has decisively addressed its leadership challenges through the power of the voter card.
From the outset, Pius Nwankwo demonstrated the qualities of a true community leader. Leaders create followers; great leaders cultivate other leaders. With this conviction, Enugwu-Agidi has chosen wisely.
Enugwu-Agidi, Anambra State, The Enugwu-Agidi Brotherly Union (EBU) has concluded one of the most transparent, peaceful, and well-organized community elections in its history, with Chief Pius Nwankwo (PAYE, Ozo Okpete) officially declared the new President General (PG).
The declaration was made by the Chairman of the Enugwu-Agidi Brotherly Union Electoral Committee following the successful collation of results from the keenly contested election, which witnessed massive voter turnout and widespread jubilation across the community.

Anambra State government speaking through the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Community Affairs, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo described the Enugwu-Agidi EBU election as free, fair, peaceful, and exceptionally well conducted, noting that its organization rivaled that of the Anambra State governorship election.
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to democratically elected community leadership rather than caretaker committees and commended the maturity and discipline displayed by voters.
He also praised the Nigeria Police Force, the DSS, local vigilante groups, and other security agencies for ensuring a peaceful process before, during, and after the election. The presence of government officials and observers further strengthened public confidence in the credibility of the exercise.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Pius Nwankwo expressed deep gratitude to the people of Enugwu-Agidi, describing the victory as collective, humbling, and forward-looking.
“This administration will serve the entire community, not just those who voted for us. The campaign is over; the real work begins now.”
He called for unity, reconciliation, and cooperation, assuring all stakeholders of inclusive leadership founded on service, humility, and shared responsibility.
“In unity lies our true strength. I pledge to work with everyone who places Enugwu-Agidi above personal interest.”
With this overwhelming mandate, Enugwu-Agidi has clearly chosen progress, unity, and accountability. The 2025 EBU election will be remembered not only for its decisive outcome but also as a benchmark for grassroots democracy, peaceful participation, and communal solidarity in Anambra State.
As celebrations continue, expectations remain high that the new EBU leadership will translate this historic mandate into meaningful development and lasting unity for Enugwu-Agidi.
