The Chairman of Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State, has confirmed the arrest of three suspects over the murder of Adams Sale in his farm, located at Gidan Kye, Sarkin Kudu.
It was gathered that Security agencies launched manhunt to arrest the killers after the incident became public knowledge.
The chairman of the local government, Mr. Iliya Jibu, said on Sunday, that the manhunt led to the arrest of three suspects.
He named the suspects as Nanfan Nimmak, Amos and Pastor Volnap, all from neighbouring Plateau State.
According to Premium Times report, Mr Jibu, vowed to monitor the case to ensure that justice prevailed.
“I won’t sleep until justice prevails. How can an innocent farmer go to a farm to struggle for what to eat and get killed while working on his farm?”
He called on security operatives to be at alert, stressing that security officials must shun any action that undermines peace and security in the state.
“Those who masterminded the killing were released and even given cover by some security officials to return to their homes, but we got them re-arrested,” he said.
