IPOB warns against importing Fulani into Enugu community

Daily Intel Newspaper by Daily Intel Newspaper

INSECURITY IN THE SOUTH EAST: IPOB calls for international Investigation
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterChat With Us Live

The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, has warned that it would resist any move by Enugu State Governor, Peter Mba and his cohort, one Friday Nnaji to import foreign Fulani muslem into Mbu community in Isi Uzo LGA with the intent to change the demography of Enugu State indigenous population.

The separatist group said that while Governor Mba and those working for him were free to convert to Islam, they can practice their faith without forcing Islam on the entire community.

In a statement by Emma Powerful, the group’s Media and Publicity Secretary on Monday, IPOB reitareted that no matter the gimmicks, it won’t allow imported Fulani to settle anywhere in the Southeast, saying it is a recipe to mass killings, rapping of old woman and children.

The statement reads:,”The obnoxious plans by Governor Peter Mba of Enugu State and one efulefu called Friday Nnaji to flood the Mbu community in Isi Uzo LGA of Enugu State with imported foreign Fulani muslims have gotten to the attention of the family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by the indefatigable leader Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu. The evil plan to change the demography of Enugu State indigenous population will be resisted by IPOB and, by extension, Ndigbo gburu gburu.

“Governor Peter Mba of Enugu State wants to create a crisis in the peaceful communities in Enugu State by importing terrorists into the state. He is desperate to fulfill the agreement he had with the Fulani movement called MACBAN, which includes creating Fulani settlement in Enugu State. This Fulani settlement agenda is being foiled by ESN. Governor Peter Mba doesn’t want to be seen as an importer of terrorists. Hence, he contracted the so-called Friday Nnaji to do his dirty work for him. This Friday, Nnaji is not the first Igbo Muslim, but his desperation to destroy his people by facilitating the import of radical Hausa-Fulani muslims into the peaceful communities in Enugu State will attract consequences.

“If Governor Peter Mba and his errand boy, Friday Nnaji, have converted to Islam, they can practice their faith without forcing it on entire communities in Enugu State. Governor Peter Mba and his errand boy Friday Nnaji by their actions created tension in the Mbu Community and in the entire Enugu State with their plans to import and flood the peaceful indigenous communities with foreign murderous Fulani muslims to outnumber the indigenous community.

“Their Advisers and the relatives of Governor Peter Mba must caution him to retrace his step. He must not endanger the security and safety of Enugu State Indigenes and Alaigbo in his quest to fulfill his agreement with the Fulani movement. Ndigbo are not muslims and can’t be forced to accept Islam by importing murderous Islamic extremists to outnumber the indigenous population. We are equally calling on the well-meaning Indigenes of Enugu State to speak up and call the irrational governor to order before he destroys the very peaceful Enugu State. Ndigbo must resist Governor Peter Mba before he creates the Southern kaduna scenario in Enugu State.

“Accommodating imported foreign Fulani extremists is a recipe for disaster. They will slaughter the indigenous community like they are doing in Southern kaduna and in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria. There, the murderous Fulani herdsmen have slaughtered, displaced, and occupied and even renamed the ancestral lands of their host to whatever they choose

“IPOB will never allow this forceful change of demography to take place in any community in Alaigbo. Governor Peter Mba and his errand boy Friday Nnaji should abort their plans. As long as IPOB is concerned and has influence in Biafra Land, no inch of Alaigbo will be conquered by the desperate and nomadic Fulanis irrespective of who is behind the conquest agenda.”
