A disc jockey, identified as Bashiru Bello, popularly known as DJ Bash, has been killed during a purported robbery incident at Volcano nightclub located along Charly boy’s road, Gwarimpa, Abuja.
Daily Intel Newspaper gathered that the incident occurred in the early of Saturday during a robbery attack on the nightclub.
Details of the robbery incident and what actually transpired are not clear, but DJ Bash was said to have been shot dead inside the club.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Federal Capital Territory, SP Josephine Adeh said the police were not alerted on time about the situation, but that an investigation has commenced and that the police are on top of the situation.
She advised residents to always be conscious of their surroundings. “When you notice suspicious activity call the police immediately and we will respond swiftly,” she said.
