Chairmanship aspirant for Ehime Mbano Local Government Council under the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the coming Imo State local government elections, Hon. Kelechi Iwueze has denounced the circulation of posters featuring the national chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State as presidential and vice presidential candidates for 2027 as a blatant attempt to sow discord among party leaders, including President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ganduje.
Ganduje’s office also described the act as mischief orchestrated by Kwankwasiyya movement affiliates, emphasising his unwavering loyalty to President Tinubu.
On the false posters, the ruling APC categorically denied the fake news circulating on social media, alleging Dr. Ganduje’s 2027 presidential bid with Governor Uzodimma as running mate.
“This misinformation is attributed to malicious troublemakers, likely in cahoots with Kwankwassiyya affiliates, aiming to sow discord between Dr. Ganduje and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Dr. Ganduje has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to President Tinubu, supporting his visionary leadership and commitment to Nigeria’s prosperity,” a statement in Abuja on Sunday through Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, said, describing the development as entirely false and a malicious piece of fake news.
In an interview in Owerri, Hon. Iwueze condemned the circulated presidential posters featuring Dr. Ganduje and Governor Uzodimma as a deceitful tactic by the defeated opposition parties challenging the overwhelming vote of confidence by the good people of Ndi Imo in the November 11, 2923, governorship election to garner sympathy ahead of the Supreme Court’s Imo State governorship election ruling.
He described the images as comical and immature, emphasising that this blackmailing strategy would fail, given President Tinubu’s political astuteness.
Iwueze condemned the perpetrators of this false propaganda as malicious and malevolent.
He warned that blackmail attempts against President Tinubu and Governor Uzodimma are malicious and doomed to fail, as Uzodimma will remain in office until 2027.
Hon. Iwueze, APC chairmanship hopefull for Ehime Mbano LGA, vows to tackle unemployment, underemployment, and insecurity through collaborative community development, agricultural revitalisation, and peace/security initiatives.
He also promises to foster youth skills development and trader support through strategic partnerships.
With his experience as Chief of Staff and TC chairman, Iwueze guarantees an enabling environment for sustainable investments and gainful employment, independent of LGA allocation.
