The commandant-general of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Audi, on Friday bowed out of service, after reaching the mandatory retirement age and completing his tenure.
Mr Audi assumed office on March 1, 2021, following his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Mr Audi celebrated his last day in office while commemorating the 2026 World Civil Defence Day on Friday at the NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja.
The federal government is yet to announce Mr Audi’s successor.
Mr Audi, who hails from Nasarawa, was born on September 30, 1967, holds a PhD in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and a master’s in Public Business Administration from the University of Calabar, and is also a member of the National Institute.
