An FCT High Court sitting in Apo, Abuja, has ordered the final forfeiture of assets linked to businesswoman, Aisha Achimugu, to the Federal Government.
Achimugu is being prosecuted for money laundering, Ponzi scheme, possession of unlawfully obtained properties, and other financial crimes.
The forfeited assets include jewellery valued at N4,645,170,294.90, 11 exotic cars worth N4,293,000,000, $50,000 and N30 million in cash.
Justice Jude Onwugbuzie made the final forfeiture order on Thursday, July 16, 2026, while delivering judgment on an application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The court held that the assets should be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government following the EFCC’s application.
The jewellery is valued at about N4.65 billion, while the 11 luxury vehicles are worth N4.29 billion, bringing the total value of the forfeited assets to more than N8.9 billion, excluding the cash sums of $50,000 and N30 million.
