The United Kingdom on Saturday warned Iran not to attack its military assets and personnel in the Middle East.
The warning comes after Iran targeted what it described as United States bases in several countries, in retaliation of the coordinated attacks lunched by the US and Israel.
The UK in a statement which indicated it would not join in the conflict, insisted that Iran must not develop nuclear weapon.
“We stand ready to protect our interests,” says the statement, but fell short of condemning the US for attacking Iran.
President Donald Trump had in a recorded video message announced a “major combat operations” in Iran, jointly coordinated with Israel.
The development follows the collapse of nuclear talks between the US and Iran.
