The death of the leader and Spiritual Father of Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, His Eminence, Emmanuel Alogbo, has been announced.
He was aged 93.
In a statement on Thursday, the church’s Secretary-General, Prophet Anthony Olusesan Samaye, said Alogbo died peacefully in the early hours of Thursday at his residence in Lagos.
He said, the cleric passed away at about 2:10 a.m. while surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.
“With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father… was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.,” the statement read.
The church described the late prophet as a devoted spiritual leader whose life was dedicated to the service of God and humanity.
It announced that prayer sessions would be held daily for seven days from 5 p.m. at his residence located at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos.
The statement added that details of his funeral arrangements would be announced at a later date.
The church prayed for the repose of his soul and urged members to remain steadfast in faith during the period of mourning.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the church the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement added.
Born on April 18, 1933, Prophet Alogbo previously served as Chairman of the Kingsland District in Lagos.
He became the acting spiritual head in November 2023 following Prophet Samuel Abidoye’s passing.
He was later formally installed as the 6th Baba Aladura and Spiritual Head of the C&S Movement Church Ayo Ni O.
